
Rockets defeat Tigers in shootout

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-5 in a shootout with rookie Cody Chikie scoring the shootout winner to end an entertaining and back and forth game.
It was the Rockets fourth win in a row and improved their record to 4-2-1-0.
The Rockets led 3-0 after the first period and 5-4 with just seconds remaining in the game before the Tigers forced overtime with a late goal.
After overtime was scoreless Chikie and Kyle St. Denis scored in the shootout while goalie Adam Brown stopped five of six Medicine Hat shooters.
Goal scorers for Kelowna in regulation time were St. Denis, Brandon McMillan with a pair, Spencer Main and Stepan Novotny, who scored his WHL leading 8th of the season.
Kelowna plays in Vancouver Friday before hosting Prince George on Saturday.
