OMAHA, Neb. - TJ Friedl and Alejo Lopez recorded a pair of hits each to extend their current hitting streaks to four games, but the Omaha Storm Chasers got to starter Bo Takahashi early to take the series opener, 11-5, inside hitter-friendly Werner Park on Tuesday night.

After retiring the first batter in four pitches, Takahashi faced immediate trouble as Omaha coaxed back-to-back hits to advance a pair of runners into scoring position. Ryan McBroom then lifted a fly ball just deep enough to bring home the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly. Omaha added another with the next batter, Meibrys Viloria, who tripled to extended its early lead to 2-0.

Louisville cut into the deficit just four pitches into the top of the third. After Friedl led off the frame with his team-leading 11th extra base hit of the season, Errol Robinson brought him home on a two-strike, RBI knock to right field to make it 2-1.

Omaha tacked on five more to Takahashi before the Bats starter exited in the fifth. The right-hander finished with six strikeouts, one shy of tying his season-high mark of seven, but was touched up for seven earned on nine hits and four walks.

Ryan O'Hearn and Emmanuel Rivera each produced four hits for the Storm Chasers and Viloria finished with three RBI in the rout.

Chris Okey homered, Lopez doubled in a run and Narciso Crook brought a third run plateward in the ninth, but it would be too little too late as Louisville was unable to complete the necessary rally.

Cincinnati rehabbing slugger Mike Moustakas went 1-for-3 with a single in the loss.

The two teams will continue their series on Wednesday at 8:05 p.m. LHP Reiver Sanmartin (0-1, 4.60) seeks his first Triple-A win of the season when he takes the mound against Omaha's RHP Eddie Butler (2-0, 1.50).
