MONTGOMERY, AL - Tennessee's Craig Muschko tossed seven innings of one-run baseball, and the Smokies (65-43) brought home all their runs with two outs as the Biscuits (58-49) fell by a final of 3-1 Wednesday at Riverwalk.

Biscuits starter Alex Torres had retired the first two batters in the opening frame before Blake Lalli singled. He'd move up to second on a wild pitch, and scored on a single from Russ Canzler to make it 1-0 Smokies. The throw to the plate was on-time, but skipped by catcher Craig Albernaz.

They'd add a run one inning later, with Brett Jackson bringing home Robinson Chirinos with a two-out single.

The Biscuits mounted a threat in the third. Three straight singles loaded the bases with nobody out against Muschko, but a Rashad Eldridge liner was snared by first baseman Lalli who threw to second to double-off Albernaz. Nevin Ashley would follow with a single to salvage a run in the frame and cut the deficit to 2-1.

In the eighth, after an intentional pass to Chirinos loaded the bases with two outs, Biscuits reliever Sergio Espinosa plunked Steve Clevenger with the first pitch to bring home the final run of the night.

Muschko (6-3) picked up the win with Kyle Smit (1) grabbing the save. Torres (9-5) allowed two runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out five and walking one in the loss.

Chris De La Cruz led the Biscuits by going 3-3, and is now 6-7 in the series. Emeel Salem and Ashley each chipped in two hits.

RHP Alex Cobb will look to secure a series victory on Thursday at 7:05 against Tennessee LHP Jeremy Papelbon.
