CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Three West Tennessee pitchers combined to throw a four-hitter to lead the Diamond Jaxx to a 3-2 win over the Lookouts in Wednesday night action at AT&T Field.

After a stalemate of four innings in which both teams failed to score, the Diamond Jaxx broke the ice on an RBI double Johan Limonta.

An RBI single from Brandon Haveman in the sixth inning extended the West Tennessee lead to 2-0.

The Lookouts finally entered the scoreboard in the bottom portion of the sixth. Kyle Russell led off with a sharply hit single and advanced to second on a Jessie Mier walk. Dee Gordon then successfully laid down a bunt to put the two runners into scoring position. Red-hot Trayvon Robinson followed with a double to bring home both runners.

With the score tied going into the eighth inning, the Diamond Jaxx manufactured a run to end the deadlock. With runners on first and second, Brandon Haveman hit an infield single off of Justin Miller (2-1) with a subsequent throwing error by second baseman Jaime Pedroza. After the dust settled, West Tennessee found themselves with a 3-2 lead.

Dan Cortes slammed the door on the Lookouts in the ninth to pick up his first save of the season for the Diamond Jaxx.

Luis Munoz (4-4), who pitched two shutout innings in relief, earned the win for West Tennessee.

The Chattanooga Lookouts and West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx will continue their five-game series at 7:15 P.M. tomorrow. Tickets for this game or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
