Brockton Rox News Release
Brockton, Mass. - Ed Nottle, who led the Brockton Rox to the franchise's only championship as field manager in 2003, was hired as the club's coach on Sunday. He will be in uniform for the team's game tonight against Pittsfield at 5:05 p.m.
"We're thrilled to have Ed's positive energy and enthusiasm back in the clubhouse," Rox CEO Chris Carminucci said. "We feel that Ed's spark will be contagious and will help the team to reach its expectations."
Currently, the Rox are 21-19, in fourth place in the eight-team Can-Am League with six games remaining in the first half.
Nottle replaces Bob Didier, who resigned from the club for personal reasons.
