Norfolk Admirals News Release
NORFOLK, VA - Noah Clarke's goal 3:26 into overtime ended the Admirals' home winning streak at ten games, as Manchester topped Norfolk 2-1 on Wednesday night at Scope.
The Admirals got on the board first early in the third period on a five-on-three power play. Troy Brouwer took a shot from in close that was stopped by Monarchs' goaltender Jason LaBarbera. Several players poked at the rebound in the crease before Brandon Bochenski chipped the puck home from the left side of the crease at 1:55.
Manchester tied the game at one goal apiece at 11:22. Mike Hoffman split two defenders for a partial breakaway on Norfolk netminder Corey Crawford. Hoffman deked backhand before slipping a forehand shot past Crawford.
In overtime, Noah Clarke beat Crawford from the left side of the slot 3:26 into overtime to win the game for Manchester.
