Adirondack Phantoms News Release
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms, in conjunction with Comcast SportsNet, announced today that Comcast SportsNet will televise an additional three games over the rest of the 2006-07 season. The first of the trio of live broadcasts will originate from the Wachovia Spectrum on Friday, Dec. 1, when the Phantoms host the Manitoba Moose (Vancouver Canucks) at 7:05 PM.
Following the Dec. 1 game, Comcast SportsNet will air the Feb. 16 match with the Portland Pirates (Anaheim Ducks) at 7:05 PM. The final scheduled game is March 3, as the Phantoms host the Hartford Wolf Pack (New York Rangers) at 7:05 PM.
Once again, Flyers broadcaster Tim Saunders will handle the play-by-play for the telecast, with former Flyers centerman Orest Kindrachuk providing the color commentary.
"We're very pleased to have the opportunity to bring three more Phantoms games into living rooms around the Delaware Valley," said Phantoms Chief Operating Officer Frank Miceli. "These broadcasts have always been successful in showing sports fans throughout the area how exciting Phantoms hockey can be."
The Phantoms return to action in a Black Friday affair with the Albany River Rats this Friday, Nov. 24 at 7:05 at the Wachovia Spectrum. Come be a part of Superhero Night with the Phantoms, and bring the kids dressed up as their favorite superhero to participate in the game-day entertainment! Tickets are available at the Wachovia Center box office, online at www.phantomshockey.com or by phone at 800-298-4200.
