Nie Loaned To Providence

Johnstown, PA - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that goaltender Ryan Nie has been loaned to the AHL's Providence Bruins. Nie will be available for the Bruins game tonight at home versus the Norfolk Admirals.

Nie, 22, has appeared in seven games for the Chiefs this season going 5-2-0 with a 3.19 GAA and 0.880 save percentage. The Chiefs have added Johnstown native Chris Cuppett as an emergency backup goaltender.

The Chiefs are back in action Saturday night when they host the Trenton Titans at the War Memorial. The first 1,000 fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of UPMC Health Plan. Tickets are available at the War Memorial box office.

The Chiefs will also be home for a pair of games during the Thanksgiving week. Wednesday, night the Chiefs take on the Columbia Inferno at 7:00 p.m. Friday, the host the Wheeling Nailers.
