
Nick Tuzzolino Rejoins Utah for Playoffs

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that defenseman Nick Tuzzolino has rejoined Utah for the playoffs from the AHL's Portland Pirates.
Utah hosts Stockton Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. to start a 2-3 best-of-five first round series.
Tuzzolino left Utah February 15 with seven goals and 19 assists for 26 points in 48 games. He was tied for sixth among ECHL defensemen in scoring, tied for the league lead with 17 power-play points, second with 118 shots on goal and tied for the league lead with three game-winning goals. Utah was 26-17-3-1 with the six-foot-five Buffalo native in the lineup this season.
After earning his first AHL call-up on February 15 in his third ECHL season, Tuzzolino played in 20 games with the Portland Pirates and had one goal, one assist and a plus-two. He played his first two ECHL seasons with the Alaska Aces and was an NHL draft pick of the New York Islanders in 2005.
