ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

April 4, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced that the following players were fined and were suspended for the final game of the 2010-11 regular season.

Bakersfield's Lefebvre Fined, Suspended

Bakersfield's Guillaume Lefebvre was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #674, Bakersfield at Utah, on April 1.

Lefebvre was fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Lefebvre missed Bakersfield's game at Utah on April 2.

Utah's Ferguson Fined, Suspended

Utah's Simon Ferguson was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #674, Bakersfield at Utah, on April 1.

Ferguson was assessed a boarding major and game misconduct under Rule #41.5 at 12:04 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Ferguson missed Utah's game against Bakersfield on April 2.
