Salmon Kings Announce 2011 Playoff Roster

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, today announced their roster for the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Playoff rosters consist of a maximum of 23 players, which includes an active roster with a maximum of 20 players and a reserve list for the remaining players. The reserve list can be comprised of healthy skaters, injured players, or players on recall.

Players who have spent time in a professional hockey league during the 2010-11 season must have played in five ECHL contests this year to be eligible for a team's playoff roster. Amateur players are eligible to be included given that their college or junior team has completed its season, including the playoffs.

Tonight the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs open at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria. With puck drop at 7:05 p.m., the Salmon Kings and Condors will open the lone matchup of the evening to kick off the ECHL's playoff schedule and their Western Conference Quarterfinal series. The Salmon Kings are offering $5 tickets for the opening two home games of the 2010-11 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The discounted playoff ticket is available to fans in all standard-bowl seating (excluding club seats).
