New York-Penn League To Hold All-Star Voting At AllStarChoice.Com

STATE COLLEGE, PA) - This summer, minor league baseball fans have the opportunity to make their voice heard for the 2008 New York-Penn League All-Star Game. Fans can now vote for their favorite New-York Penn Leaguers at the official Web site of the NYPL All-Star Game, www.allstarchoice.com, through August 11.

The host of the 2008 New York-Penn League All-Star Game, the Tri-City ValleyCats, have partnered with Major League Baseball Advanced Media to launch www.allstarchoice.com as the online voting home for the All-Star Game. The site includes an online fan ballot, information regarding the All-Star Fan Fest and all news pertaining to the two day All-Star festivities.

The 2008 New York-Penn League All-Star Game is the fourth in league history. After being held in Brooklyn, Aberdeen and Hudson Valley the first three years, the Midsummer Classic is calling Tri-City home in 2008.

The State College Spikes will host next year's 2009 All-Star Game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on August 18, 2009. Further information on the 2009 All-Star Game and the events surrounding it will be released as they become available.

On Monday, August 18 the All-Star Fan Fest will be held at Troy's downtown area featuring a free concert by Eddie Money. The New York-Penn League All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy, N.Y. with a rain date scheduled for Wednesday, August 20.
