State College Spikes News Release
LOWELL, MA - The State College Spikes games scheduled for Thursday night against the Lowell Spinners at LeLacheur Park are cancelled due to rain. The games will not be made up, due to the fact that the two teams won't meet again for the remainder of the season.
The two teams were scheduled to complete Wednesday night's game, which was suspended, as well as Thursday's regularly scheduled game. Only one game of the scheduled three-game series was completed.
The Spikes will return home to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to take on the Batavia Muckdogs (St. Louis Cardinals) Friday, beginning a six-game homestand. Friday night will be the Spikes' Salute to the Mustache as well as Law Enforcement Night. A post-game fireworks show will follow the game. First pitch between the two teams is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 877-99-SPIKES or online at www.statecollegespikes.com
