
'Cutters earn impressive double dip sweep

HIGHLIGHTS: The Williamsport Crosscutters extended their winning streak to four games as they swept a double header Thursday night in Hudson Valley by the final scores of 4-3 and 2-0.
Rob Roth picked up the win in game one to up his record to 7-0 as SS Troy Hanzawa and 3B Cody Overbeck each hit home runs. BJ Rosenberg picked up his team-leading 6th save.
In the nightcap, Cutters pitchers Mike Cisco, Sean Grieve and Michael Schwimer combined on a 3-hit shutout of the Renegades. Grieve was credited with the win and Schwimer earned his 5th save of the season.
Hanzawa had a perfect 5-for-5 night overall in the double header and also participated in two double plays.
With a record of 11-5 away from Historic Bowman Field, the Cutters own the best road winning percentage in the league.
Williamsport now sits alone in 2nd place in the Pinckney Division just 3 games behind Jamestown. The victories give the Cutters 12 wins in their last 13 games as they move to Auburn, NY for a 3-game series with the division rival Doubledays.
