The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored four runs in the seventh inning, taking the series opener from the Sea Dogs, 4-2 on Friday night at Hadlock Field.

Kurt Isenberg (3-8) worked six strong innings, allowing one run on five hits to notch the victory. Randy Beam surrendered all four runs in one inning pitched, suffering to 2-2.

Rodney Ormond retired the final four batters to earn his third save of the season.

Portland took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a two-out RBI double by Brandon Moss. Portland starter Devern Hansack fired six scoreless innings on four hits and six strikeouts. The righthander retired 11 straight during innings two-through-five.

New Hampshire scored all four runs with two outs in the seventh. Dustin Majewski tied the game with an RBI single. Adam Lind launched a three-run homer off Beam, giving the vistors a 4-1 lead. Beam has surrendered four home runs in his last three outings.

The Sea Dogs added a run in the eighth inning on Chad Spann's run-scoring single off Justin James.

Portland drops to 3-2 on their seven-game homestand and leads the Trenton Thunder by 7.5 games in the Northern Division.

Notes...Devern Hansack pitched a season-high, six innings and held New Hampshire, hitless in seven at-bats with runners in scoring position...Portland went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position...Jon Searles worked two perfect innings.
