Naurov recalled to Iowa

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads Hockey Club announced today that forward Alexander Naurov has been recalled to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, Iowa Stars and in return Iowa has reassigned forward Richard Clune.

Naurov was a member of the Steelheads 2007 Kelly Cup Championship team and started this season at Idaho's National Hockey League affiliate, the Dallas Stars, and Iowa Stars training camps. The 5-11, 200-pound Russian also attended the NHL Prospects Camp in Traverse City this fall.

Clune, 20, was Dallas' third choice in the third round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The Toronto, ON native was signed by Iowa to an AHL Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO) on April 14th, 2007. The 5-11, 195-pounder played in 67 games with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League where he ranked second on the team in PIMs (151) and power play goals (16), and third in goals (32).

Clune is expected to dress for tonight's game at Qwest Arena as the Steelheads seek revenge on the Victoria Salmon Kings following a 2-1 overtime loss in the home opener last night.
