
Everblades get 4-1 win against Sea Wolves

BILOXI, MS - The Florida Everblades defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves by a score of 4-1 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida on Saturday evening.
Florida got on the board first when Mathieu Melanson scored his third goal of the season on the power play from J.D. Forrest and Brandon Roach at 6:43 of the first period.
The Everblades increased their lead to two when Kyle McAllister finished the rebound of Ernie Hartlieb's shot at 3:03 of the 2nd period. The Sea Wolves got their only goal of the game less than two minutes later when Pat Oliveto found a loose puck in a goal mouth schmozzle and put it past Everblades goaltender Justin Peters. Derek Damon increased Florida's lead to 3-1 when he was sprung on a breakaway by J.B. Bittner, skated in alone on Sea Wolves' goaltender Morgan Cey and beat him with a back hand at 7:37. Brad Zancanaro added an insurance goal for Florida at 18:27 of the third period.
Morgan Cey made 21 saves on 25 shots for Mississippi, and the Sea Wolves were 0-for-7 on the power play.
