
Nailers Waive Nelson

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce today that the team has waived forward Mike Nelson. With this transaction there are now 18 players on the active roster.
Nelson, a first year professional from Thunder Bay, ONT, appeared in 36 games for the Nailers and had six points on three goals and three assists. He had one game-winning goal and one shorthanded goal. Nelson also scored two shoot out goals in four attempts. Before joining the Nailers he had a four-year career in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and the Erie Otters.
The Nailers are back at home on Friday, January 31 against the Augusta Lynx. Game time at the Wheeling Civic Center is 7:30p.m. It will be Mascot Night with several area mascots providing entertainment during the game.
