
Ianiero Scores as Northern Conference Wins, 3-2

Dayton Bombers' rookie forward Andrew Ianiero scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal as the Northern Conference All-Star Team bested the Southern Conference All-Stars 8-2 at the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game played at TECO Arena in Estero, Florida Tuesday night.
Wheeling's Zenon Kenopka and Johnstown's Pierre-Luc Courchesne, both of whom faced Ianiero and the Bombers in East Coast Hockey League regular play this past weekend, assisted on Ianiero's goal at 8:41 of the second period that vaulted the Northern Conference to a 3-0 lead. The Northern Conference All-Stars never trailed in the contest. Ianiero, 22, finished with four shots and was a +1 in the plus/minus category. Ianiero has has ten goals and ten assists in 33 games played with the Bombers this season.
The Bombers will resume play this Friday when they host Toledo (7:30 p.m.) on Beach Party Night at the Nutter Center. Fans can register for a $500 Grand Prize Tanning Contest by calling Ultimate Tan at 298-4271. Students can get in for $5 with a valid Student ID. Also, Wright-Patt Credit Union will be presenting a post-game concert by Wild Stuff. Beer is just $1 and margaritas on the rocks are just $2.
