
Ianiero, Northern Conference Prevail in Skills Competition

Rookie Dayton Bombers forward Andrew Ianiero was a member of the East Coast Hockey League Northern Conference All-Star Team that won 12-9 in the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Skills Competition held at TECO Arena in Estero, Florida last night. The 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game will take place today at 7:30 p.m. and is being broadcast live on the Internet by Yahoo! Events (http://www.broadcast.com).
Ianiero registered an 83.8 mph speed in the KOHO Hardest Shot Event. He also participated in the Itech Breakaway Relay Event, which saw the Northern Conference edge the Southern Conference 7-6.
Ianiero, who turned 22 eleven days ago, was the Bombers' top rookie goal and point producer in the month of November (7-3-10). He played the last four seasons with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League, scoring over 20 goals in each of his campaigns with the club. A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Ianiero was originally a draft pick of the Ottawa Senators (5th round, 154th overall) in the 1999 Entry Draft.
This Friday when the Bombers entertain Toledo (7:30 p.m.) at the Nutter Center, enjoy the fun at the Bombers' Beach Party Night sponsored by Ultimate Tan at the corner of Stroop & Wilmington (behind Blockbuster Video) in Kettering. The Bombers have posted both of their shutout wins against Toledo on home ice and are 3-2 overall against the first-place Storm this season.
