WHEELING, W.Va. - It was less than 48 hours ago that the Trenton Devils stole a 2-1 win from the high-energy Wheeling Nailers. The Nailers will get a chance to pay back the Devils for Friday night's loss and right their own ship in the process today when they take on Trenton at 6 p.m.
Wheeling is coming off a 5-2 loss to the Reading Royals last night. Reading goaltender Michael Ouzas was spectacular in stopping 29 of the Nailers' 31 shots. Only Tobias Holm and Jordan Morrison were able to solve the Reading goalie. Trenton defeated South Carolina 9-7 last night. Brad Stetsinger notched a hat trick and fell one assist short of a playmaker. Jeff Prough netted two goals with two assists.
Wheeling will conclude its 4-game road trip with another game against Trenton on Tuesday night. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Nailers' next home stand is Feb. 27-28 when they host Dayton and Trenton, respectively. The Feb. 27 game is Friday Family Four Pack Night, where families receive four tickets, four sodas, four hotdogs and one large popcorn for just $44. In addition, a collector poster will be given away to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. A Coal Miner Spike Bobble Head will be given away to the first 2,500 fans in attendance at the Feb. 28 game.
