Nailers, Jackals Game Postponed Due to Weather
February 15, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, have announced that the Monday, February 16th game against the Elmira Jackals at WesBanco Arena has been postponed. No makeup date has been announced yet.
On Sunday afternoon, the city of Elmira was experiencing significant snow accumulation and blizzard conditions, which would have made transportation dangerous for the Jackals.
Fans with tickets to Monday afternoon's game may exchange them for a future 2014-15 Nailers home game, for tickets of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. In order to make the exchange, fans must bring their tickets to the Wheeling Nailers Office or call (304) 234-GOAL.
The Wheeling Nailers will have two road games on February 21st and 22nd against Toledo and Kalamazoo, before returning home for a three-game weekend on February 27th, 28th, and March 1st.
The Nailers will play a three-game homestand from February 27th through March 1st.
Elmira returns to town on Friday, February 27th at 7:35 as the Nailers host their annual Wing Fest game. That night will also be a Flat Screen Friday, Frosty Friday, Player Poster Giveaway, and Wheeling Island Nailer Night.
Saturday, February 28th is Pink in the Rink, when Wheeling battles Greenville at 7:35 . The Nailers will wear special jerseys, there will be pink rally towels handed out, and autographed mystery pucks will be available for purchase.
Sunday, March 1st wraps up the weekend at 4:05 against the Road Warriors on a Family Funday with $5 kids tickets, Oglebay Good Zoo Day, and a post game skate with the team.
Wheeling Nailers 2015-16 season tickets, as well as flex tickets, group tickets and single-game tickets for 2014-15 are on sale now. For more information, call 304-234-GOAL or visit wheelingnailers.com.
