Promotion: Pink in the Rink, Day 2

DULUTH, Ga. - For the final time in over two weeks, the Gladiators (16-28-2-1) will play at The Arena at Gwinnett Center as they take on the Greenville Road Warriors (27-19-1-2) for Pink in the Rink, Day 2. After today's game, the Gladiators will head off on a season-high eight game road trip spread out through the next two-and-a-half weeks. Gwinnett will take on six different opponents during the trip (Kalamazoo, Fort Wayne (2), Toledo, Florida, Orlando (2), and South Carolina).

Glads Notes:

Pink in the Rink: "Pink in the Rink" is the Gladiators highest-profile annual fundraising effort, netting almost $400,000 to benefit numerous local charities in North Georgia over the past seven years. This season, the Gladiators have teamed up with "The Sport of Giving", the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and Kennesaw State's Zeta Tau Alpha as the primary beneficiaries of the two-game "Pink in the Rink" weekend.

Their Hearts Are On Their Sleeves: The Gladiators will be wearing special "Valentine's/Pink in the Rink" jerseys today, their fourth jersey to be worn this season. The special black jerseys feature hearts on the sleeves and hemline, pink and red striping, Gwinnett's alternate Gladiator logo with themed coloring, and a special "Gladiator Heart" shoulder patch. The team will auction off the game-worn jerseys after Sunday's game with proceeds going towards the Gladiators' fundraising efforts this weekend.

Follow the Leader: Casey Pierro-Zabotel currently leads the Eastern Conference in scoring with 53 points in 45 games played. He is third among active ECHL skaters in points, behind Allen's Chad Costello and Alaska's Brendan Connolly.

Gladiators Ahoy: Two players currently on the Gladiators roster have been assigned from their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates- James Melindy and Dyson Stevenson - and nine more - Joel Hanley (POR), Dan O'Donoghue (POR), Louis Domingue (POR), Mike Lee (POR), Jordon Southorn (POR) Greg Carey (POR), Bretton Stamler (HFD), Casey Pierro-Zabotel (NOR), and Joe Stejskal (IAW) - have spent time in the AHL this year.

Milestones: Sean Berkstresser is three points away from his 200th professional point ... Casey Pierro-Zabotel is one assist away from his 200th ECHL assist and seven goals from his 100th pro goal ... Geoff Paukovich is one goal away from his 50th as a pro ... Brenden Walker will play in his 100th professional match today, all coming with Gwinnett ... C.J. Chartrain is five games from his 100th pro game.

Streaks: Casey Pierro-Zabotel has had points in nine of his last 12 games (7g, 9a) ... Garry Nunn has two goals and four assists in his last seven games ... Brenden Walker has three goals and six assists in his last nine games.
