Wheeling Nailers News Release
The Wheeling Nailers, AA Affiliate for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, are excited to announce a pair of promotions that will take place during the weekend of December 9th-11th, when the team plays two home games at WesBanco Arena.
The first promotion is the Wheeling Soup Kitchen Food Drive, which will take place on both Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th. The Nailers and the Wheeling Soup Kitchen are partnering to assist in raising money, as well as food donations. All fans that bring in a bag of food to the donation table in the main concourse at either game will receive a special gift from the Nailers. In addition, five dollars from each ticket sold by the Wheeling Soup Kitchen will go back to their organization.
The second promotion is the first annual Nailers Wing Fest, which will take place on Friday, December 9th. Starting at 6:30, and running until the end of the first intermission, fans will be able to sample wings from local participating restaurants. After sampling the wings, fans will have the opportunity to vote on the most popular wings, the hottest wings, and the most unique wings. One wing ticket only costs one dollar, and is good for three wings at one restaurant's table. Also, during the first intermission of the game, there will also be a wing eating contest, in which the winner will receive prizes from all participating restaurants.
As always, because the December 9th game takes place on a Friday, it will be a Frosty Friday, in which fans can purchase discounted beverages up until the end of the first intermission.
