Cyclones Acquire Mike Pelech from Toledo

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have acquired center Mike Pelech from the Toledo Walleye in exchange for future considerations.

Pelech, a sixth-round pick of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2009 NHL Draft, is currently in his third season as a professional. Over the past two seasons, he was a member of the Ontario Reign where he posted 65 points in 135 games. This year with Toledo, the Toronto, Ontario native had collected five assists in ten games. Prior to going pro, Pelech skated four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and one in the OPJHL, earning 207 points in 296 games as an amateur.

He will join the rest of the Cyclones at U.S. Bank Arena TONIGHT at 7:30pm when they play host to the Kalamazoo Wings. It will be the first Wet Wednesday of the season, with $1 PBR and Miller High Life flowing all night long. In addition, the game will serve as the Cyclones "Movember" Mustache Party where fans can show off their mustaches in support of men's health.
