Wheeling Nailers News Release

The Wheeling Nailers, AA affiliate for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, are excited to announce that they have teamed up with the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown,WV to help raise funds to support families in the Ohio Valley who use Ronald McDonald House Services.

On Friday, January 6th, when the Nailers face the Cincinnati Cyclones at WesBanco Arena, they will be wearing special red jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game. The one and only Ronald McDonald will be on hand that night as well, and all fans are encouraged to collect pop tabs off of soda cans, so that they may be donated that night to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House.

Founded in 1990, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Morgantown, WV (RMHC) was created to find and support programs that make an immediate and positive impact on the health and well-being of children. Guided by our core values, RMHC provides a "home-away-from-home" without the financial burden of a hotel for parents of critically-ill or injured children. Yet, RMHC is more than just a roof overhead. During this emotional time, the house offers the comforts of home while also providing support and encouragement. Annually serving over 1,800 families traveling from West Virginia and surrounding states as well as internationally, RMHC has impacted the lives of over 30,000.

The Nailers' next home game is on Wednesday night, December 21st, when they play host to the Elmira Jackals at 7:05 PM.
