Royals Turn Back the Clock--And Prices
December 22, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that ticket prices for the Royals' Purple Zone seats at the Sovereign Center for next Wednesday's Winter Classic Giveaway game on Turn Back the Clock Night (December 28 @ 7:05 pm) against the Elmira Jackals will be "turned back" $10.00 per ticket from the regular price of $22.00 to just $12.00 in honor of the Sovereign Center's Tenth Anniversary. Please note that these special prices are available on sales at the Sovereign Center Box Office and telephone sales through the Royals' office (610-898-7825), only.
Wednesday's game will be loaded with holiday fun and several lucky fans will be particularly joyous because of the Royals' annual Winter Classic Giveaway, when the team will give away a pair of tickets to all three upcoming hockey events at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park, which is currently undergoing the transformation from a baseball field into an outdoor hockey rink.
Of course, the most coveted pair of tickets in all the land may be the ones the Royals will give away to the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic showdown between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Rangers on January 2, 2012. But, even if you don't win those tickets, you might still be a winner next Wednesday because the Royals will also give away a pair of tickets to the Winter Classic Alumni Game between former greats of the Flyers and Rangers, which will be played at CBP on December 31, 2011. Also, the Royals will give away a pair of tickets to the American Hockey League contest between the Philadelphia Phantoms and Hershey Bears on January 6, 2012 at CBP.
Please note that you must be present at the Royals' game against the Jackals at the Sovereign Center in Reading next Wednesday and follow all rules and regulations associated with the Royals Winter Classic Giveaway to be eligible to win.
Also, on Friday of next week (December 30, 2011 @ 7:05 pm) the Royals will cap the holiday season and the 2011 calendar year with a showdown against the Trenton Titans at the Sovereign Center. That night, the Royals will honor a big part of our local heritage with a whole host of activities designed to pay homage to Pennsylvania Dutch traditions.
Reading returns to action tonight (Thursday, December 22, 2011 @ 7:35 pm) when the team will visit the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina, to take on the Greenville Road Warriors. The game night broadcast on Saturday will start at 7:05 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. As with all Royals' road games, Thursday's contest in Greenville will be televised locally in Berks County on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
