
Mortimer Pays Visit to City Hall

Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Moose Jaw, SK.--- Everyone's favorite mascot, Mortimer J Moose visited City Hall today and proclaimed it to be "Morty Day," as his first order of business as mayor. As part of the "Get Gutsy" fundraiser, Warriors fan's helped raise $1000.00 on November 12th in order for their adored mascot to be the Mayor for a day.
Mayor Glen Hagel and the "mayor of the day" both signed off on an official proclamation asking all of Moose Jaw to support the team this weekend when they take on the Calgary Hitmen and encourage them to wear their Warriors gear to the game. T he Warriors and their fans got "gutsy" this past week, bringing awareness to the diseases of Crohn's and Colitis and raising funds to start "MJ Place", a cabin that will be built at Buffalo Pound for those who suffer from the painful diseases to use to escape the tough days they face.
The Warriors would like to thank Mayor Hagel and the City of Moose Jaw for their support in this fundraiser.
