Vancouver Giants Forward Matt Bellerive Named to Team Pacific

Vancouver Giants forward Matt Bellerive was one of 20 WHL players named to Team Pacific for the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. The event runs from December 29, 2010 to January 4, 2011. The 22 player Team Pacific roster is made up of 16 year old players from Alberta and British Columbia, with 11 players from each province being named to the team.

Bellervie, a second round pick of the Giants in the 2009 WHL bantam draft, is in his first full season with the club and so far has played 17 games, registering 2 goals, 1 assists, 3 points, and 11 penalty minutes.
