Blazers' Bosch Named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Jeff Bosch of the Kamloops Blazers was named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 2-0-0-0 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.500 and save percentage of .984.

Bosch stopped 61 of the 62 shots he faced in recording two wins for the Blazers over the weekend. He earned his second shutout of the season with 23 saves as third star of a 4-0 win over the Kelowna Rockets on Saturday, before making 38 saves including 16 in the third period to earn first star honours in a 3-1 win over the Everett Silvertips on Sunday.

Bosch, a 19-year-old from Martensville, SK, is playing in his fourth full WHL season and first with the Blazers. He has posted a 9-3-0-0 record for the Blazers who are currently tied with the Prince George Cougars for second place in the B.C Division with 23 points.

SUBWAY Super Series goaltenders Jean-François Bérubé of the Montreal Juniors and Mark Visentin of the Niagara IceDogs were also considered for the award. Bérubé posted a 2-1-0-0 record with a goals-against-average of 1.68 and save percentage of .945, while Visentin won two games with a shutout victory and a goals-against-average of 2.00 and save percentage of .933.
