Dallas Stars Sign Left Wing Matt Fraser

Frisco, Tex. - The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has signed left wing Matt Fraser to a three-year entry level contract. He is currently playing for the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

Fraser, 20, has skated in 20 games for Kootenay so far this season, ranking second on the club in points with 19 (9g, 10a) and penalty minutes (35) and tied for fourth on the club in plus/minus (+12). He played in 65 games for the Ice last season, posting 56 points (32g, 24a) and 117 penalty minutes. The Red Deer, Alberta native also dressed in two games for the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League in 2009-10, going scoreless.
