Montgomery Biscuits News Release
MONTGOMERY --- Right-handed pitcher Juan Salas has been promoted from Montgomery to Durham (AAA - International League), the Biscuits announced Monday.
The move will continue Salas' Major League rehab assignment leading up to his return to Tampa Bay. The 28-year-old Dominican was suspended for 50 games after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance in early May.
Salas made two relief appearances for Montgomery, allowing four runs on four hits in 1 1/3 innings for a 27.00 earned run average.
The Biscuits' roster presently consists of 24 active players and one player on the disabled list.
