Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev. - Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero will join the Reno Aces on a rehab stint beginning tonight, becoming the tenth D-back to rehab for Reno in the club's history.

Montero was hitting .500 (6-for-12) before injuring his meniscus on April 10 against Pittsburgh. He has missed 52 games for the D-backs, with former Aces catcher John Hester filling his vacated roster spot.

Montero last donned a Triple-A uniform in 2008, playing 11 games for the Tucson Sidewinders on a rehab assignment. His only other Triple-A experience came in 2006, when he played 36 games for the Sidewinders.

He joins RHP Kris Benson and OF Conor Jackson as members of the D-backs who have made rehab appearances in Reno this season.

Montero is expected to be in the lineup for the Aces 7:05 p.m. game Monday night against the Portland Beavers.

Single-game tickets for all games start at just $7, while ticket plans for the 2010 season start at just $154. Fans can get more information on mini-plans, group tickets and half- and full-season ticket plans by calling (775) 334-4700.
