Monday's Pelicans Game Postponed, Doubleheader Scheduled For Tuesday

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans scheduled game against the Wilmington Blue Rocks has been postponed due to persistent rains throughout the day which are expected to continue into the evening. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games on Tuesday night beginning at 6:05 PM.

Fans holding tickets for Monday's postponed game can redeem them for tickets of equal or lesser value at the BB&T Coastal Field Box Office for any Pelicans remaining 2008 regular season home game or any 2009 regular season game in April. Tickets may not be redeemed for 2008 post-season tickets.

10th Anniversary Photo-Baseball #5 featuring Jason Marquis and Chuck James, which was scheduled to be given away on Monday, will be given away to the first 2,000 fans on Wednesday, September 3rd as the Pelicans open the post-season with game one of the 2008 Carolina League Southern Divisional Series.

The Coastal Carolina vs. Penn State Football Pep Rally will take place on Tuesday in between games of the doubleheader. Tuesday's doubleheader will also still feature Two-for-Tuesday with two-for-one tickets with a South Carolina Education Lottery Ticket.

Seats are available for all remaining 2008 Pelicans regular season games and the 2008 post-season presented by Burroughs & Chapin.
