Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced on Wednesday that their charitable arm, the Monarchs Care Foundation, is once again teaming up with the City of Manchester Health Department to offer the combined Seasonal/H1N1 Flu Vaccine to all fans attending the Monarchs game on Friday, October 29 when the team hosts the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 p.m. There will be a nominal fee of $20, cash only, for the Seasonal/H1N1 Flu Vaccine.
The clinic will be located behind sections 207 and 208 of the Verizon Wireless Arena from the time the doors open for the Monarchs game at 6:00 p.m. through the second intermission. The vaccine will be available to all fans that are five years of age or older attending the game. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanies by a parent/guardian.
"The flu season is a concern for the citizens of Manchester and we want to give our fans the opportunity to receive the vaccine," explained Monarchs Senior Vice President Cheryl Abbott. "The City of Manchester Health Department has been gracious enough to provide a clinic with the vaccine for everyone attending Friday's game in the hopes of keeping Manchester and New Hampshire healthy."
Tim Soucy, Public Health Director at the Manchester Health Department states, "By providing the flu vaccine on a walk in basis, as well as during scheduled clinics, we are trying to make it as convenient as possible for residents to get their flu shot."
The Monarchs host the Sound Tigers at the Verizon Wireless Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday October 29. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGAM 900/1250 AM and at www.manchestermonarchs.com.
