Albany Devils News Release

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Albany Devils began their four game road trip with a 3-1 victory at Hartford on Wednesday night. Patrick Davis, Adam Henrique and Chris Murray provided the scoring, while Jeff Frazee turned away 24 shots for his third consecutive win. The outcome improves Albany's record to 4-2-0-0, while Hartford goes to 3-4-1-1.

Entering the contest the Devils hadn't scored a power-play goal since a 4-3 victory at Adirondack on Oct. 16. Hartford handed Albany two chances in the first period and Henrique and Matt Anderson found iron during both opportunities. At 8:53 of the second and during the team's third power-play, Henrique broke through for his second goal of the season. Alexander Urbom and Mark Fayne worked the puck up top before Fayne found Henrique cutting through the slot.

Murray added a second man-up tally, finding the empty net from the far end with 38 ticks remaining to produce the final score.

The Devils went 2-for-5 on the power-play, while killing off all three Wolf Pack chances, including a full two minutes with less than 3:30 remaining in regulation.

Albany's first power-play goal made it 2-0 after Davis opened the scoring at 4:30 of the second. A long break-out pass from the defensive zone to the far blue line by Tyler Eckford sprung Davis, who snapped a wrist shot short side.

Play seemed to remain in the Devils' offensive end until Ryan Garlock made it 2-1 at 4:49 of the third period. Justin Soryal chipped it ahead for Jeremy Williams, who glided down the right side and made a pass across the top of the crease for Garlock to one-touch his first goal of the season.

The goal spoiled Frazee's effort for his sixth career shutout, but he was still able to hold on for his 45th career victory. He was required to make six saves in the first, nine in the second and nine in the third. Hartford's Chad Johnson, made 26 stops.

Next up, the Devils head to Providence for a 7:05 p.m. game on Friday, Oct. 29 and to Syracuse for a 7:30 p.m. contest on Saturday, Oct. 30.
