Trick Or Treat with the IceHogs Tonight
October 27, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill. - The Texas Stars will visit the Rockford MetroCentre tonight for the first time in 2010-11 when they square off against the Rockford IceHogs at 6:35 p.m.
New for the 2010-11 season, in conjunction with $1 10-ounce Bud Select courtesy of LaMonica Beverages, Taco Bell and WXRX presents Dollar Days for every Wednesday home game this season. Dollar Days include $1 beers, hot dogs, sodas and companion tickets.
Fans can purchase 10-ounce Bud Selects exclusively at the Bud Select Deck located in front of Oink Outfitters, on the MetroCentre concourse during all Wednesday home games.
Also, kids (ages 12 and under) in costume are invited down on the MetroCentre ice after the game to join IceHogs players for trick-or-treating.
The team will be handing out candy and other goodies courtesy of Nestle, Papa Murphy's, Cadbury, Texas Roadhouse, General Mills, Northern Illinois Bowling Proprietors Association, Pepsi and Frito Lay.
For tickets to the game call (815) 968-5222, visit metrocentre.com or stopover to the MetroCentre Box Office.
The IceHogs and Stars faced off in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs last season, but things did not go well for the Hogs as they were swept in four games. The IceHogs will get a much anticipated opportunity for revenge tonight.
Rockford is looking for their first ever home win against Texas. The IceHogs are 0-3-1-0 during the regular season and 0-2 during the playoffs all-time at home vs. the Stars.
Tonight's game can be heard on 1380 AM, WTJK and wnta.com beginning at 6:05 p.m. with the U.S. Cellular pregame show and seen on Comcast Cable Channel 57 or on ahllive.com.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Manitoba Moose. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs baseball cap courtesy of Pepsi, WXRX and WIFR.
