Monarchs Sign Kinasewich To Tryout

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed left wing Ryan Kinasewich (ki-NAS-oh-wich) to a professional tryout agreement, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Wednesday. Kinasewich, 22, a rookie out of St. Albert, Alberta, has appeared in 38 games with the Monarchs ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals, this season. The 6-foot-2, 202-pounder leads the Royals with 38 points (16-22=38). Kinasewich also leads the Royals with 22 assists and shares the team lead with five power play goals. He ranks second on the squad with 16 goals overall.

Kinasewich, who will wear jersey No. 18 for the Monarchs, has never appeared in an American Hockey League game. Prior to this season, he played for the Tri-City Americans (2001-04) and the Medicine Hat Tigers (1998-01) of the Western Hockey League. Last season with the Americans, Kinasewich recorded 69 points (33-36=69) in 55 games.

The Monarchs return to action when they host the Worcester IceCats at the Verizon Wireless Arena at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9.

Ticket Availability: 290 seats in the Gold Level and 2,950 seats in the Silver level remain for Wednesday's game against the IceCats.
