LOOKING AHEAD:
The Road Runners will live up to their name as Edmonton plays 17 of its next 19 games away from home, beginning with a visit to Cleveland on Wednesday and Thursday... It's also the first of 15 straight against division opponents for Edmonton, which sits fourth in the North... The Road Runners are 3-0-0-0 against the Barons this year, with Tony Salmelainen recording four goals and an assist in the season series... Mike Morrison and Tyler Moss have combined to allow three goals during Edmonton's current five-game winning streak... Cleveland is fresh off a home-and-home sweep of Chicago, including Saturday's 2-1 win that snapped a six-game home losing streak... Jason Jaffray has scored five goals in the Barons' last seven games.
After Tuesday's win over Utah, Houston hits the road for important division games in Grand Rapids (Wednesday) and Milwaukee (Thursday)... The Aeros have moved to within one point of the final playoff spot in the West Division and are one point ahead of the Griffins as they head to Van Andel Arena... Pierre-Marc Bouchard is on a seven-game scoring streak for the Aeros (3g, 7a)... Houston goalie Josh Harding has a 1.72 GAA in four appearances since returning from a concussion, including a 1-0 shutout of Milwaukee on Saturday.
Philadelphia sits three points behind a first-place logjam in the East Division heading into Wednesday's visit to Norfolk... While the Phantoms have lost four in a row and are 5-10-1-4 in their last 20, the Admirals are on an 8-0-0-1 tear and are tied with Binghamton and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton atop the East... Norfolk rookie Rene Bourque has 14 points in 12 games since New Year's, and Michael Leighton is 10-1-1 in his last 12 decisions... The Admirals are 4-0-1-0 against the Phantoms in 2004-05.
