Hershey Bears News Release
It's the beginning of a three-game week for HERSHEY, beginning with a date in Lowell against the Lock Monsters tonight at 7:00 p.m. Tonight's game is the second and final time the two teams will meet in the regular season, with Lowell prevailing at GIANT Center 4-0 back on December 12.
Peter Budaj is expected to get the start in goal against Lowell's Brent Krahn. HERSHEY begins play tonight seven points from a playoff spot in the East Division standings, but just 10 points out of first place in a tightly contested race.
Tonight's game features the AHL's top two game-winning goal scorers this season. Lowell's Chuck Kobasew has seven game winners this season, while Eric Perrin potted his seventh game winner Saturday night in a 4-3 overtime victory over Binghamton.
Tonight's festivities and shenanigans from Tsongas Arena can be heard on the BEARS radio network. John Walton calls the action beginning at 6:40 p.m. The BEARS return home Saturday after a game in Wilkes-Barre Friday to face the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 p.m. at GIANT Center. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911.
