
Bourque named to Canadian All-Star team

NORFOLK, VA â Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced that left wing Rene Bourque has been named to the American Hockey League's Canadian All-Star Roster in the 2005 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic, which will take place at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH, this Sunday and Monday.
Bourque leads the Admirals in scoring with 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists), and has three power play tallies, four game-winning goals and a plus-8 rating in 47 games. Among AHL rookies, he is second in points, tied for first in goals, tied for sixth in assists, tied for second in game-winning goals and tied for seventh in +/- rating.
Bourque was selected to represent Norfolk at the All-Star Classic in place of Anton Babchuk, who will be unable to attend the event due to injury.
