Manchester Monarchs News Release


MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will make several community appearances this week.

Left wing Jeff Giuliano, a native of Nashua, New Hampshire, will serve as a celebrity reader at the State Senate's Read Across America celebration at the Senate chamber in Concord on Tuesday, March 2 from 8:30-10 a.m. Giuliano will read, Z is for Zamboni, to the assembled students and senators.

Forward Sam Ftorek and right wing Dan Welch will be at Auburn Village School in Auburn, New Hampshire on Tuesday, March 2 from 1:45-2:45 p.m. to speak to the students about setting and achieving goals as part of the Monarchs Goals For Success program.

Defensemen Richard Seeley and Bryan Muir will be at Peter Woodbury School in Bedford, New Hampshire on Wednesday, March 3 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. to speak to the students about setting and achieving goals as part of the Monarchs Goals for Success program.

Defenseman Doug Nolan and right wing Leon Hayward will be at Salem ICEnter in Salem, New Hampshire on Wednesday, March 3 from 8-9 p.m. to help with the Salem Saints youth hockey practice.

The Monarchs are in Lowell to face the Lock Monsters on Friday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m. After that, their scheduled to face the Portland Pirates at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Saturday, March 6 at 2:05 p.m. The Monarchs return home on Wednesday, March 10 to host the Springfield Falcons at 7:05 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
