
Roadrunners Look to Extend Winning Streak

The Toronto Roadrunners (27-25-8-2) look to extend their winning streak to a franchise high four games as they face the St. John's Maple Leafs twice this week. The Roadrunners meet the Baby Leafs at Mile One Stadium in St. John's on Friday, March 5 (6:05 p.m.) and Saturday, March 6 (6:05 p.m.). Toronto is currently tied with Rochester for fourth place in the North Division.
Toronto played four games last week, winning three of them. The Roadrunners lone defeat last week came on the road, as they were defeated 3-1 by the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday, February 25. Toronto beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-2 at home on Thursday, February 26, and then defeated the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins in back-to-back games at the Ricoh Coliseum (3-2 on February 28 and 3-1 on February 29).
Roadrunners continue home winning streak
The Toronto Roadrunners won all three home games they played last week to stretch their home winning streak to a season high nine games. The Roadrunners have scored the first goal of the game in all nine wins. Toronto has lost just once in its last 14 home games (11-1-2).
Valiquette on five game winning streak
Goaltender Stephen Valiquette has won his past five starts, recording victories over Cincinnati (2), Hamilton, and Wilkes-Barre (2). The Etobicoke, Ontario native has a .1.20 GAA and a .964 save percentage during the stretch.
Winchester solid in past five games
Rookie right wing Brad Winchester has five points (3g-2a) and has a rating of +5 in his last five games.
Cullen records first career AHL multi-goal game
Centre Joe Cullen record his first career multi-goal game last week when he scored twice in the Roadrunners 3-1 victory over Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, February 29.
Henrich nets first two game winners of the season
Right wing Michael Henrich scored his first two game winning goals of the season last week. Henrich scored the winning marker against his former team, the Hamilton Bulldogs, on Thursday, February 26, and potted another winner the next game, as the Roadrunners defeated Wilkes-Barre 3-2.
