--Wolves left wing ERIC HEALEY's third-period penalty shot proved to be the game-tying marker for Chicago in the 3-3 stalemate against the San Antonio Rampage at the Allstate Arena
--Center BRIAN SWANSON notched a power-play goal and left wing STEVE MALTAIS also scored for the Wolves
--Goaltender KARI LEHTONEN posted 33 saves

Sat., Feb. 28 (at) Chicago 2, Cincinnati 1


--The Wolves held off the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, 2-1, to earn their third straight win at home
--Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT turned aside 28 shots in the win
--Center BRIAN SWANSON tallied a short-handed marker
--Center DANIEL CORSO notched the game-winner in the second period

Fri., Feb. 27 (at) Grand Rapids 4, Chicago 2


--The Wolves fell behind, 3-1, after the first period and couldn't recover, losing, 4-2, to the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena
--Left wing STEVE MALTAIS posted a power-play goal and right wing STEPHEN BABY added an even-strength marker
--Goaltender KARI LEHTONEN notched 23 saves in the loss

Wed., Feb. 25 (at) Chicago 4, Utah 1


--The Wolves matched a season-high three power-play goals and cruised to a 4-1 victory against the Utah Grizzlies at the Allstate Arena
--Defenseman KURTIS FOSTER led the team with three points (G, 2A), including an empty-net goal
--Center DANIEL CORSO, defenseman GREG HAWGOOD and left wing ERIC HEALEY all tallied man-advantage markers
--Netminder KARI LEHTONEN recorded 29 saves

STEVE MALTAIS: Shares third in the AHL with a team-leading 25 goals ... Ranks third in the league with a team-best 12 power-play markers ... Paces the team and is tied for 14th in the league with 48 points (25G, 23A) in 60 games

GREG HAWGOOD: Currently on a five-game point streak (Feb. 21 - present), tallying five points (G, 4A) during that span ... Ranks second on the team with 25 assists ... Paces Wolves defensemen and ranks 12th among AHL blueliners with 30 points in 61 games

BRIAN SWANSON: Notched four points (2G, 2A) in as many games last week, which includes three (2G, A) in his last two contests... Ranks third on the team with 24 assists and 36 points ... Shares second on the club with three game-winning tallies

KURTIS FOSTER: Tallied four points (G, 3A) in four games last week, which includes a season-high three (G, 2A) on Wednesday against Utah ... Shares fifth among AHL defensemen with 10 goals and first among league blueliners with seven power-play markers ... Tied for 13th among AHL defensemen with 28 points in 60 games

ERIC HEALEY: Scored on a penalty shot for Chicago on Sunday, marking the first since Nov. 13, 1997, that a Wolves player converted on a penalty shot ... Ranks second on the club with 24 goals, nine power-play markers and 44 points in 61 games this season

KARL STEWART: Ranks third among AHL rookies with a team-leading 26 assists ... Shares eighth among league first-year players and ranks fourth on the team with 32 points in 54 games ... Leads the Wolves and ranks fifth among AHL rookies with 129 penalty minutes ... Ranks second on the team and third among AHL first-year pros with a +17 plus/minus rating

--The Wolves have registered points in 15 of their last 17 home games, which includes each of their last six.
--Chicago's 17 home wins are the third-most in the division despite sharing the second-fewest contests played on home ice in the AHL this season (28); twelve of Chicago's remaining 19 games this year will be played at the Allstate Arena.
--The Wolves are outscoring their rivals by more than one goal on home ice this season (3.29 to 2.25); overall, Chicago is outscoring its opponents, 92 to 63, in 28 home games this season.
--Overall, the Wolves rank third in the league with an average of 2.93 goals per game; Chicago has tallied 179 goals this season, tied for second most in the AHL.

The Wolves welcomed 23,046 fans to the Allstate Arena last weekend, including a season-high 12,938 on Sunday; Chicago ranks fourth in the AHL in attendance with an average of 7,364 fans per game.

NOTABLE

Left wing Brian Maloney will be visiting the Anne Fox Elementary School in Hanover Park on Tue., March 2, as part of a celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday. He will be reading to students and signing autographs in an effort to encourage recreational reading among kids.
