
Molson Canadian Performers of the Month Announced

The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce the Molson Canadian Performers of the Month for November. Each Month, the Owen Sound Attack hand out awards to the Player of the Month, Defenseman of the Month, Rookie of the Month and Hardest Working Player of the Month.
Player of the Month - The Attack has named Joey Hishon the Molson Canadian Player of the Month for November. The Stratford, ON. native scored four times while picking up fifteen assists for nineteen points. The 1st Round Selection of the Colorado Avalanche was also tied for the team lead in plus/minus with Garrett Wilson with a +7 rating. November was also a month to remember for Hishon as he competed in two Canada/Russia Challenge games and was also named to Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp along with Wilson.
Defenseman of the Month - The Owen Sound Attack has named Jesse Blacker the Molson Canadian Defenseman of the Month for November. The 2nd Round Selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs tallied three goals and seven assists for ten points to go along with a +1 rating. The Toronto native was also named the Attack's Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week on one occasion and played in both games for Team OHL at the Canada/Russia Challenge.
Rookie of the Month - The Attack has named rookie forward Gemel Smith the Molson Canadian Rookie of the Month for November. Smith, a Toronto native was taken by the Attack in the 6th round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection and had an impressive month, scoring four times while adding an assist to go along with a +5 rating. Smith was also named the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week on one occasion and twice named the 2nd star in games.
Hardest Working Player of the Month - The Attack have named sophomore forward Andrew Fritsch the Molson Canadian Hardest Working Player of the Month for November. Fritsch, who is eligible for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft notched nine goals and four assists for 13 points and scored in an impressive six straight games for the Attack in November. Fritsch was named the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week once and was also named a game star on four occasions.
The Attack is on the road this weekend when they visit Saginaw, Plymouth and Sault Ste. Marie. All games can be heard live on Grey Motors Bear Radio on CFOS with the voice of the Attack, Fred Wallace.
