Ryan Strome led the IceDogs with two late third period goals to boost Niagara to a 5-3 victory over the Windsor Spitfires Thursday night in Windsor. Andrew Agozzino and Freddie Hamilton also had multi-point nights in the victory allowing the 'Dogs to begin a three game weekend on a positive note.

The Spitfires opened the scoring early at the 4:02 mark as Eric Locke put one past Visentin to give his team a 1-0 lead.

The IceDogs answered back at the 9:30 mark as assistant captain Dylan MacEachern shoveled the puck awkwardly past Jack Campbell from the goal line with the help of Johnson Andrews to tie the game 1-1.

David Pacan then followed up with a goal shortly after on a beautiful give and go play with Andrew Agozzino to give the 'Dogs a 2-1 lead.

The hot-streak would only continue for Captain Andrew Agozzino as he picked up his team-leading 18th goal of the season on a Freddie Hamilton rebound to increase the IceDogs lead to 3-1 as they headed into the first intermission.

Windsor scored the lone goal in the second period as Alexander Khokhlachev capitalized on a power play opportunity with the help of Zach Kassian and Craig Duininck to cut the 'Dogs lead to 3-2.

Khokhlachev continued to play a stellar game as he scored his second goal of the night at the 14:12 mark of the third period to tie the game 3-3.

IceDogs leading scorer Ryan Strome continued to prove himself as a go-to player as he scored a clutch goal at the 18:14 mark after taking a beautiful pass from Freddie Hamilton to give Niagara a 4-3 lead.

Strome then sealed the deal by picking up his second goal of the night on an empty net to give the IceDogs a convincing 5-3 lead. The 'Dogs dominated during the final minute of play, and evened the season series with a 5-3 win over the Spitfires.

The IceDogs next game will take place tomorrow night at 7 p.m. as they visit the Sarnia Sting to wrap up their road trip before returning to Niagara to host the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday, Dec. 4th also at 7 p.m.

Tickets for this and all other IceDogs home games can be purchased at any IceDogs ticketing location. For more information, please contact the IceDogs office at 905-687-DOG1.
