Minnesota Recalls Bulmer, Iowa Adds Murovich

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Saturday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Brett Bulmer from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and placed defenseman Jared Spurgeon on Injured Reserve. Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill also announced the team has signed forward Tyler Murovich to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

Bulmer, 21 (4/26/92), has recorded 14 points (9-514), 24 penalty minutes (PIM) and three power-play goals in 24 games with Iowa this season. He leads the team in goals and ranks tied for fourth in scoring. The 6-foot-4, 212-pound native of Prince George, B.C., has recorded six shots in four games with Minnesota this season and owns three assists and eight PIM in 13 career NHL contests with the Wild. Bulmer was selected by Minnesota in the second round (No. 39) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Murovich is a third-year pro who has spent the entire 2013-14 season with Orlando. In 31 games with the Solar Bears, the Pittsburgh, PA native has nine goals and eight assists for 17 points. Over the course of his career, the 5-foot-9, 174-pound forward has played in 50 AHL games. Murovich has seven AHL goals and 14 AHL points. The 24-year old played for Hamilton, Wilkes-Barre Scranton, Syracuse and Springfield.

Iowa will continue its six-game road swing in Chicago with the Wolves on Saturday at 7 p.m. The team will return home on Jan. 15 to host Toronto at 7:05 p.m.
