Rockford, Ill. - Hoping to get off to a fresh start in 2014, the Rockford IceHogs picked up a standings point in a shootout last night and are looking to rebound tonight at the BMO Harris Bank Center against the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m.
For tickets to tonight's contest, call (815) 968-5222, visit icehogs.com or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet. Every fan in attendance tonight will receive a ticket voucher, good for a select upcoming IceHogs game during the 2013-14 season. Fans will be able to choose from Jan. 10, Jan. 20, Feb. 14, Mar. 28 or Apr. 11. The ticket offer is good while supplies last and cannot be combined with any other offer.
The IceHogs will be giving away four Blackhawks tickets at tonight's game through a special promotion on the team's Twitter account. Make sure to follow the IceHogs on Twitter to find out how to enter and have a chance to compete in an intermission activity to win the Blackhawks tickets and various other prizes. The tickets are for tomorrow night's game when Chicago hosts the San Jose Sharks at 7 p.m.
The game tonight can be viewed on 23.2 Antenna TV, Comcast Cable channel 436, Charter channel 970, Mediacom 101 or online with AHL Live.
The Hogs meet up with the Griffins for the seventh time this season and fourth on home ice. Rockford shows a 1-4-1-0 record against the defending Calder Cup Champions, with the only win against Grand Rapids coming at the BMO on Oct. 19 in a shootout.
The Griffins (23-8-1-2) come into tonight's game with the best record in the Western Conference with 49 points while the Hogs (15-16-3-1) are tied for ninth with 34 points.
Earlier today, goaltender Jason LaBarbera joined the IceHogs on the ice for morning skate after being reassigned to Rockford by the Blackhawks.
