Minnesota Lynx Announce 2007 Preseason Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team will play two exhibition games during the 2007 WNBA preseason in addition to scrimmages with Detroit, Houston and Sacramento.

The Lynx "home" exhibition contest is against the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday, May 13 at 4 p.m. The game will be played on the campus of Louisiana State University, where 2006 WNBA Rookie of the Year Seimone Augustus played college basketball. On Saturday, May 5, the Lynx will take on the San Antonio Silver Stars at 7 p.m. in a game to be played in Wichita, Kansas. The scrimmages against Detroit, Houston and Sacramento are part of a round-robin tournament to warm up for the preseason games.

Minnesota opens the 2007 WNBA regular season on Saturday, May 19 at Indiana. The home opener will follow on Sunday, May 20 as the Sacramento Monarchs come to Target Center for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
