Connecticut Sun Announce Preseason Schedule

UNCASVILLE, CT. (February 27, 2007) - The Connecticut Sun will tip off the 2007 preseason by returning to Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard to face the New York Liberty on May 5th at 5 p.m.

The first of four preseason games leading up to the tip-off of the regular season at Washington on May 19th, it is also the second time the Sun have played a preseason game in Bridgeport. Connecticut defeated the Charlotte Sting on May 8, 2005.

Connecticut will return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, May 8th at 7 p.m. to host Sue Bird and the Seattle Storm. The Sun close out the preseason with back-to-back games in Texas, visiting the San Antonio Silver Stars on May 14th, and the Houston Comets on May 15th.

"It will be good to get back and see our fans in Bridgeport, and it's always exciting whenever Seattle comes to Connecticut," Sun General Manager Chris Sienko said. "Playing four preseason games will give us a great opportunity to fine tune for the regular season."

Celebrating their fifth season in Connecticut, the Sun will face the Los Angeles Sparks in their regular-season home opener on Saturday, May 26th.
